Your responsibilities

Consumers also have responsibilities when buying food. Always use the tongs and gloves provided when choosing foods such as salads, bread and cakes. Ensure that food is stored in the correct place. If you change your mind about a hot, chilled or frozen food purchase while shopping put it back on the correct shelf. If you see any perishable food items for sale beyond the `use-by' date, or food not in fit condition for purchase, inform the manager. If you are still unhappy with the condition of the food, you should then contact your local Health Board.
